Halloween Fun!

Here are a few highlights from our fun filled halloween activities!
This was Halloween night! The kids had a blast!
Some friends from church had a trunk or treat at their house since Halloween was on a Wednesday this year!  There was a great turn out as you can see!
We did our trunk in a pirate theme and dressed appropriately!  Mya decided she wanted to be a pirate this night too! It's crazy to think in less than 2 months, there will be another little girl in this family!
Calvin also took his mower and trailer to the trunk or treat so the kids could go on hay rides!

We had a great Halloween!  Lots of fun and lots of candy....and one year older for me!! Hope you all had a fun and safe Halloween as well!

Disney highlights

My parents just took our whole family on a trip to Disney! We had aot of fun.  It went really well especially considering we had 6 kids from the ages of 5 months to 6 years. I have many morepics to add but still have a little editing to do!
One of my childhood memories of Disney was that the hotel left us a stuffed animal on the bed.  Since they no longer do that, we packed some animals for the kids and left them as a surprise. They were all excited!
 Riding It's a Small World
The girls had glow wands and they kept saying "Magic and Pixie Dust" over and over again!  It was so cute!
The boys had glow swords, which they loved as well!
 Watching the Electric Parade!
Waiting to see Jake the pirate....
Crew, was the only one brave enough to go dance in the Disney Channel show.  He is the little guy in red!!
Watching a parade! The kids made a friend to sit with!
Our family in our Mickey Tye dye shirts!
All dressed up to see the princesses!

If you ever have the chance to go to Disney with your family, you should definitely do it!  You will make some great memories....a few stressful ones too;-)

Baby #4

We decided to have a little fun with the kids and tell them in a fun way since this is the last baby we are planning to have.  We decided to send them on a scavenger hunt. The kids loved doing it and I know my Mom was especially anxious to find out what we were having!!
 All the clues
 Finding the clues

At the final clue there were three presents for the kids to open.....all pink....IT'S A GIRL!!!!

This was the best we got amongst all the excitement!
We are very excited to have another girl!

1st Grade

Well it absolutely doesn't seem possible that our summer is coming to an end but it is.  I put my 6 year old on the bus this morning to head off to the first grade....all day. It has been a little more difficult than I expected this year because he is gone all day and last year he was just gone for a few hours.  He is also at a different elementary this year so that has made him a little more nervous, which of course makes Mommy worry for him:) We were able to make a visit the other day and ran into some kids that he knew which helped and he got to meet his teacher which also helped.  I am sure he will be fine but I cant wait for him to get home so I can hear all about it.  Hear are some pics I snapped this morning of my fun, loving boy!

I couldnt help but add these in.  She woke up just in time to walk out to the bus with us.  Can you believe that hair.  I did comb it while we were waiting:) I didn't want to embarass Ayden too much!

Mya's Spring Dance Recital

Mya had just recently had her spring recital.  She was really nervous about it.  The first time I went to watch her in class, she started to cry....not what I would expect from her.  She loves dance but needless to say her nerves were evident.  The moves that she did were really subtle and she didn't even do all of them.  I don't think she even cracked a smile.  Poor thing. She never said she didn't want to do the recital.
She did enjoy doing the finale.  She still walks around doing it.

This is her teacher, Miss Kimberly.  She loves her!
Her friends and grandparents came to watch!

Spring Break 2012

This year for Spring Break we went to visit our good friends, The Davis'. They live in Pottstown, Pennsylvania.  We did many fun things while we were there.  One of our very fun days, we left Crew behind and headed to NYC with the two older kids.  We did alot in one day.  Here are some of the highlights.  The first picture was in Times Square.
Outside of the 4 story Toys r Us with a huge Ferris Wheel inside.  The kids were amazed!
There were all kinds of charachters around to take pictures with for a small fee:)
Candyland in Toys r Us!
 A lego Statue of Liberty!
 The real statue of Liberty.
Riding the Ferry to Staten Island
The only pic of us!

Right outside the 911 Memorial.  Ayden wasn't sure if it was a statue or a person.  Right after, he started talking to Ayden!
On the way to the 911 memorial....amazing!
The boys at the memorial!
The kids loved riding the subway!
New York City ended up being the kids favorite thing we did.  The loved everything about it!  So glad we decided to take them!

I have a 6 year old!

It is really so hard to believe that Ayden is six already. It definitely doesn't seem like this is possible. We have done lots of fun and exciting things in his 6 years of life! Here is what he did for his birthday! 2 of his cousins and his Aunt and Uncle came in town! We spent his actual birthday at the Children's Museum with them!
He got a snowboard and snow pants which he had been asking for since before Christmas but I am not sure he is going to get to use it this year!

I think it is cute how everyone gets so excited for the birthday child and surround them to see what exciting things they get.

This was at his friend sleepover.

They were full of energy as you can tell.

Calvin had this idea to let the kids birthday baloons go and attach a note with all the kids names on it and see if anyone would return the message. The kids got real into this. This was just before they let them go.

This is how far they got. I couldn't help but laugh! It was fun while it lasted!

We took them to an indoor playground where they had a blast running off their energy! I think Ayden had a great day!
