December

Wow, what a busy month....oh wait, that's just life. We always seem to think that things will slow down and they don't....unless you get a foot of snow and negative temps and can't leave your house. That is how I managed to find time to right a blog post. Yes, good ol Indiana weather! Oh well! We have managed to enjoy ourselves and spend some good quality time together!

We started off the month getting to spend time with our family.  It's always crazy but we wouldn't trade it for the world.
Between basketball for Ayden and Daisies for Mya we managed to squeeze some time in to play in the snow.  We even took Hadley out for the first time and she loved it. We had an extra friend Briyana to play with too!

Of course we have been busy with holiday stuff. The kids enjoyed helping me do a little baking, wrapping presents, and making crafts!

Christmas was a lot of fun this year! The kids were all so much fun.  I love the excitement of kids to give and receive!  I love their reactions to it all!

We had the pleasure of having my parents and grandma here with us for the holidays! I actually don't have any pictures on my camera with grandma and grandpa from the holidays. I feel like we took some....maybe on Grandmas camera?? They were wonderful to have around during this crazy time.  My parents do so much for us.  There is no way we could ever repay them for all they do.  They have taught us so much.  We only hope that someday we can pass on this legacy to our children and teach our kids the love of a parent like they have shown us in countless ways!

We ended the month off with a celebration for Hadley's first birthday! Can't believe it!  We had a wonderful time with her and many friends and family.

I enjoyed getting ready for her party! I love getting crafty but often times don't find the time. I even made her outfit!(With my Mom's help on the pants!) My SIL helped with the decorations and my Dad made cute little owl coloring sheets for the kids.  Once again, my wonderful family was a huge help.  I hope that you had a wonderful holiday and were able to spend time with family and friends as well!  Thanks for checking in! Happy 2014!

A little bit of everything

We had a good summer staying around Indiana.  It was pretty low key due to the fact that Calvin is still recovering from tearing his ACL. We managed to still keep busy! How can you not with 4 kids, right?!

I can't believe that I now have another child in school.  It feels like these two should still be about half this size, hanging out at home with me;) Somehow, they really are old enough to head off to school.  It was difficult but their excitement helps ease the difficulty.  Mya is loving Kindergarten.  She did at one point say that she wished she could go to school for preschool hours only.  She is very well adjusted now! I love the relationship that these two have with each other.  They of course fight, but are so excited to see each other during school hours and swap stories of their days!

Hadley Mae

6 months
 5 months
 3 months
2 months

It seems I have been a little busy so here are some catch up pics. Hadley is doing wonderful.  At her 6 month appointment she weighed 18lbs 8 oz and was 27 1/4in.  She is maintaining her status as our biggest baby;) She is a very happy little girl.  She is enjoying trying some foods now.  She sits up and rolls over.  She has 3 siblings who love her to pieces....and a Mommy and Daddy that do too!

Crew is 3!

It's so hard to believe that this fun loving guy is 3! He has and continues to bring us so much joy!  He is always making us laugh.  He truly is so hard to discipline sometimes due to his comic relief!
For his 3rd birthday we took him to the zoo with friends! It was a wonderful day! I couldn't have done it without my wonderful parents!
All the kiddos ( we also had 4 little babies with us)

Happy Valentine's Day!

So at our house Valentine's Day isn't quite what it used to be.  My sister in law sent me an ecard that said " If you really love me, let me sleep in and tell me how pretty I look in my new Yoga pants." That about sums it up! We love spending the day/night together but don't usually do any hot date nights on Valentine's Day! We did have a family night, including a fun heart shaped pizza. I mean, what more can you ask for....4 cute kids and a heart shaped pizza:-)
Our Fab 4!
Ayden's Valentine Box.  I got to spend the afternoon with Ayden at his school party!

I can't believe my girl is 5!

I can remember the day Mya was born like it was yesterday.  It doesn't seem possible that it could be 5 years ago.  Having a daughter has brought so much joy to my life.  There are so many girly things that I look forward to doing with Mya and Hadley!

Mya invited her friend Bella over to spend the day with us.  We took them to lunch at Mya's favorite place, McAlister's and then home for cake, presents, and play time!

Since Mya's birthday is near Valentine's Day I found this cute cookie cake which I thought the girls would enjoy!
I love this pic because Mya is looking at Bella:-) Oh and Ayden lost his front tooth that morning!
Mya with her other party guest!!
Just added this one in.....Hadley's 1 month!!

Our little girl!

Well, I haven't completely forgotten about this blog, just a little preoccupied! I can't believe how long it's been since I posted anything:-) Well we enjoyed Christmas!! It was very quiet. It was nice. We are normally traveling and because I couldn't travel, we hung out here! We actually went to see a movie after all our festivities were over.

I was supposed to work the day after Christmas but I had to call in. I was up having contractions for about 3 hours and thought for sure I would be having a baby during the snowstorm but she managed to wait it out. She did however make her appearance the next day! Calvin was at work and I took the kids to a friends house so I could go to my appt. I just knew I would be back in an hour or two so they just wore the pjs. Well, as you can guess, they kept me. Like an unprepared Mom I went right over to the hospital, no bag, no camera, nothing. I started making the calls. Calvin had to go home and take care of everything I didn't.....since I just knew I would be right back.

Things went well and our precious little girl made her arrival at 7:38pm. Our doctor, stayed late and delivered her. Things got a little hectic at the end but all ended well with a healthy screaming girl. She weighed 8 lbs 6 oz and was 20 1/4 in. As with all of our children, it always takes us some time to name them.  She was no different. We had a small list of names but nothing set. I would have named her the minute we found out we were having a girl but Calvin wasn't so sure. The next day when the kids came to visit we were pretty much decided on her name but Calvin told Ayden he could pick and he said Hadley Mae so that was it.....she was named. Hadley was a name we liked for a long time. Mae is my great grandmothers name.

Hadley Mae is so greatly loved. She has 3 siblings that adore her and parents that do as well! There are things that I always forget about when you have a new baby....one is how quickly you fall head over heels in love with them. I look forward to the many joys Hadley will bring to our lives!!
